Creative Workshops with SafeArt

Tues Sept 1st: NEURO ART
ART THAT CALMS THE BRAIN

Neuro Art is a simple art process anyone can do.

It is a process of drawing soft lines and where they intersect we will be rounding out the corners.

When the brain sees only rounded corners and no sharp angles it calms and the nervous system relaxes.

Once the corners are all rounded we use watercolor paint or markers to create a visually appealing piece.

Creative Workshops with SafeArt

Tues Sept 15th: Artist Trading Cards (ATC’s)

Join Misch Beck of SafeArt on Tuesday September 15th at the BALE Commons space from 6 to 7:30 to create Artist Trading Cards (ATC’s). The Artist Trading card is like a Baseball Card for artists. They are the size of a playing card and they started out as small works of art for artists to trade that had artwork on one side and contact info on the other. Misch creates them with artwork or printed paper on both sides and words or quotes on one side. She loves to use them as a little extra something in birthday cards or other cards she sends to people.
You are invited to be part of a bigger project that SafeArt is doing involving ATC’s. Our weekly Healing Arts group is creating cards to send to two Domestic Violence shelters up north that will distribute them to their guests. We sent over 100 cards two years ago and they were very well received. I am inviting anyone interested to create some cards for that project.
