What Can We Do?

What Can We Do?

Weds Nov 19th 6 - 8pm the BALE Resistance Hub welcomes back our friends from Green Mountain DSA for a presentation about what strategic political resistance looks like here & now!

The Democratic Socialist Party stands for putting people above profits by organizing labor, offering universal access to healthcare and addressing the climate crisis with a just transition to a sustainable economy - and organizing through democratic process.

Maybe these goals resonate with you? But we don't need to all share identical politics to coordinate our efforts in resistance!

The DSA is enjoying a moment of national recognition on the heels of Zohran Mamdani's historic electoral victory in NYC's 2024 mayoral race. And our local chapter is eager to share their vision for bringing that movement to Vermont!

The BALE Resistance Hub first hosted Alejandro in June for a session exploring Digital Security and online privacy. We are thrilled to welcome him back to dig deeper into the movement strategies he has been engaging with through graduate studies at UVM and his organizing work at GMDSA.

The event will feature both a presentation and ample time for discussion. Please
RSVP if you plan to attend and if you can bring a simple pot-luck snack so that we can keep our bodies nourished while we feed our minds.

We hope to see you there!
