BALE RESISTANCE HUB

A hub of local activism at BALE

The BALE Resistance Hub is a community organizing project that seeks to meet our current political moment with action rather than anxiety. We are a loosely affiliated group of neighbors and friends from towns surrounding South Royalton who come together to find local ways to engage in meaningful resistance to authoritarianism. Our group consists of long time activist an organizers as well as folks who are brand new to political and community engagement. All are welcome!

We believe that activism is most sustainable when we each find the issues we are most passionate about and seek meaningful partners and paths to take action. Thus within the Resistance Hub we find our ways into smaller “action groups” addressing the issues we care about most. Some of the currently active groups are: Local Mutual Aid, Fighting For Local Farms & Food, Pop-Up Actions (protest + Civil Disobedience), Community Outreach & Education.

Once per month we gather for a potluck and report back on our work in action groups and take in some educational content to help us guide our activism, and once per month we gather to dive deeper into discussion around our larger group goals and planning future rallies etc.

If you would like to join the Resistance Hub and get involved in an action group or form a new one, send us an email, we welcome your involvement and support!
